1.International Air Transportwaybill
The international air waybill is filled out by the shipper or in the name of the shipper.
The international air waybill is non-transferable and belongs to the airline company to which the international air waybill belongs, such as the cross-express airline.
2.The purpose of the international air waybill
The waybill is the most important shipping document used by the shipper or its agent, and its functions are summarized as: (1) it is the certificate of the contract of carriage concluded between the carrier and the shipper; (2) it is the certificate for the carrier to accept the goods. (3) It is the freight settlement certificate and freight receipt; (4) It is the basis for the carrier to transport the goods in the whole process of the cargo transportation organization; (5) It is the certification document for customs clearance of international import and export goods; (6) It is proof of insurance.
3.Responsibility for filling out the international air waybill
It is the shipper's responsibility to complete the international air waybill. The shipper is responsible for the correctness and completeness of the contents filled in the waybill. The shipper is responsible for the losses suffered by the carrier or others due to inaccurate and incomplete contents filled in the waybill. According to Articles 113 and 114 of the Civil International Air Transport Law of the People's Republic of China, the shipper shall fill in the original international air waybill in triplicate and deliver it together with the goods to the carrier. The non-compliance of the international air waybill or the loss of the international air waybill does not affect the existence or validity of the contract of carriage.
4.International Air Waybill Restrictions
A single waybill can only be used for one or more pieces of goods that are shipped by one shipper at the same time and at the same place and are carried by the carrier and are transported to the same destination and the same consignee. No IATA member is allowed to print a negotiable international air waybill, and the words "non-negotiable" on the waybill cannot be deleted or tampered with.
5.Objection of the consignee when the goods are delivered
(1)Obvious damage to the goods should be reported as soon as the damage is found, and within 14 days after receipt of the goods at the latest; (2) Other damages to the goods should be reported within 14 days from the date of receipt of the goods; (3) The delay of the goods, since It shall be submitted within 21 days from the date of its discretionary goods; (4) If the goods are not delivered, it shall be submitted within 120 days from the date of filling out the waybill.
The suit should be brought within two years from the date the goods arrive at the destination, or from the date the aircraft should have arrived, or within two years from the date of cessation of carriage, otherwise the carrier's right to sue will be lost.
